HISTORY

In summer 2022, we started collecting - and sending - necessary goods to Ukraine.
We started in the basement of a small store.

The joy of donating was so great in relation to the capacity to sort and pack, that we needed to find a bigger facility.

Via an employee in Bærum municipality, we were able to borrow an unused building in Emma Hjort. This is where we are currently based.

Posten Norge (in collaboration with other European postal companies) offered free transport of unaddressed parcels.

Max for each package: 20 kg - 60x60x120 cm - €150. From December 2022, the offer changed to only apply to addressed recipients.

We then collected information about who we should send the packages to. We sent to charities, orphanages, and families in need.

On 1 September 2023, the European postal companies' offer of free transport ended.
After a number of probes with various organizations/transporters, we came to at a good collaboration with "The Ukrainian Association in Norway" and "Support Ukraine, voluntary organization". They continue to transport the goods we collect to Ukraine.

Due to a protest by transporters and farmers from the EU on the borders with Ukraine in the winter of 2023/2024, there was a complete stop in transport of good to Ukraine.
Our warehouse was getting unbearably full. Despite that, we continued to work on, knowing that sooner or later the parties would come to an agreement.

Since April 2024, things have been much smoother and we continue to send good regularly to Ukraine.
